Inspired by the Nutmeg & Sugar scented Candle from Companion Candles and the mission behind the brand, we give you: an easy dog biscuit recipe!

You’ll Need:
- 1½ cups oat, white rice, or quinoa flour
- 1½ cups brown rice flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup water
- Optional: add in some berries, diced bananas or even shredded carrots for some added color, flavor and health benefits for your pup!
To Make:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the oat flour, brown rice flour, and cinnamon.
- Add the honey, egg, and vanilla extract, and stir until well blended.
- Add ¼ cup water and mix with a fork. Continue to add more water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the ingredients start to come together. Use your hands to lightly knead the dough in the bowl until it forms a ball.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- You have two options to form your doggie biscuits:
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it's between ¼" and ⅛" thick. Cut out your biscuits with cooking cutters or free hand it with a silicone tool. Place them on a baking sheet, pressing the scraps together and repeating until all the dough has been used.
- If you have molds, gently press the dough into your silicone tray. Do your best to only fill each mold about halfway.
- Bake the biscuits until they’re golden and lightly brown around the edges, about 12 minutes depending on size.
- Your furry sous chef is likely eager to help you lick the mixing bowl clean!
- Allow the biscuits to cool and harden on the baking sheet, then store them in an airtight container at room temperature.
